Well let me introduce you to our ‘Femur’ universal handle. It’s designed to fit any bare handle pick from .015″ to .025″ (approx 0.61mm) thickness and .035″ (approx 9mm) width
Easy to replace and secure lock picks with two stainless steel grub screws/nuts either side of the handle.
Includes a small 2mm Allen key
Available in black or white with identical sizing
Comfortable design of the ‘Femur’ is to provide:
- Left handed or Right handed use
- Large diameter for more control and more comfort
- Comfortable for Single pin picking or knurled handle for heavier raking
- Easily adjusted for picking USA (pins up) style or Euro (pins down) style
After extensive testing , DownUnderMonkey (an accomplished Aussie locksporter) confirmed the Femur handle could hold thinner picks (e.g 12thou) however, noted an unacceptable sideways movement.
For this reason we don’t recommend the femur to be use for any pick thinner than 15thou
Does not include any lock picks. Only the handle and Allen key is included!

THE GRUB SCREWS ONLY REQUIRE A FINGER TIGHT BINDING TO SECURE THE LOCK PICK
ANY BREAKAGE OF THE PRODUCT WILL VOID ANY WARRANTY

Valar –
After spending some time with each of the popular Barebones handles (Coffin, Bone Grip, Bone Scale, Bone Skin and Femur), this is my favourite.
I watched a review by ALPAMA and had feared this handle would be too large for my medium sized hands.
I believe it’s real suitability is in the picking style it serves; Single Pin Picking.
The angular head provides a fantastic flatform for your index finger and assists with precise, vertical movements.
I was pleased to find the handle did not dampen the sensation of my .23 pick, however this may vary with thinner picks.
And, as a bonus, it’s the easiest handle to remove and insert new picks. Great job on the design Bones!
